Ok so I’m in contact with my Vet. They have just been taking a long time this week to get back to me for some reason for medication. He had a sneeze about three days ago and heard him breathe a little weird. I contacted Vet ASAP but this time I had to complete a refill form for some reason which I don’t usually have to do.
And she said that Vet would get back to me, but it’s been two days and this is his breathing now I have a bit of azithromycin on hand which I’ve given him last night but that’s the only thing I have left. Is there anything else I can give him or do in the meantime? His cage mates are not as bad, but they are also sneezing. He doesn’t have a bunch of mucus around his nose or eyes and is still eating but this breathing and some sneezing is horrible I hate to hear him
Does anyone have any advice for what I could do or give in the meantime?

(also I have to say this is a reoccurring issue. These boys are always sick and I feel like I never get a break. Their cage is in a good area without any drafts. It’s well ventilated in this room for cage is clean from any dust daily and the poop in their litter boxes. They do not have fabric hanging around for too long without being washed in a non-scented soap I don’t spray perfume around them, but they’re always damn sneezing! Or breathing weird or needing medication. It’s to a point. I am on monthly payments with the Vet because I can’t afford the bill anymore.. I didn’t think the rats would be so costly and it’s to the point. I was surprised when they went a good month without being sick! They have taken doxycycline azithromycin baytril meloxicam theophylline steamed room and bit of dark chocolate omgg.. my oldest is 2 but the sick rn are the 6 month to one year olds.. I’m so done putting them on so many medication it feels like now they can’t live without it and my Vet doesn’t see the issue with this..)

What can I do in the meantime?!
