Problem with the carriage of my Olivetti.

Hey! I recently found this Olivetti and bought it, but I noticed it has a strange problem with the carriage. When the carriage passes a certain point it returns instantly, without pausing to write a single letter, this is when it is just over halfway. It's really annoying and I have no idea about typewriters, I hope someone can help me with my problem.
