How can we go on believing that we are good

Apart from the all bad things we do, let's just talk about one thing, animals,

Chicken are put in very limited area, but they too like freedom, they deserve a good life too Lions and wild animals are put in cages for us to laugh at and contemplate when we go to the zoo and few of us think about how these animals want to run in the wild and be free Birds are put in cages for their colors and singing like they are created for us so we could be a little more happy, they have feelings too, and suffer a lot kept in a very limited area, but we'd love to just not think about their suffering

We slaughter pigs sheep cows for food

I am sure that if there were smarter stronger beings , who hunt us and do to us what we do to animals we would feel so miserable and oppressed, we would hate them and consider them evil even if they could not live without human meat
