What makes a cozy maze-puzzle satisfying long-term? (design Q; Steam page just went live)

Discussion

I’m curious what r/videogames looks for in relaxing, no-combat maze/puzzle games you can play between tasks or to unwind.

  • Gentle, steadily increasing difficulty vs. sharper spikes?
  • Optional hints: helpful or distracting?
  • Top-Down vs. slight 2.5D tilt for readability?
  • Do achievements add motivation without adding pressure?
  • Ideal session length (5–10 min bursts vs. longer)?
  • Color palettes / visibility: any favorites or “please avoid” combos?

Context: I’m a solo dev and just opened the Steam page for Maze Infinite Puzzle (endless procedural mazes; reset-anytime flow; Top-Down/2.5D; 10-track relaxing soundtrack; no timers or combat). If you’re curious, feedback on the page is welcome and a wishlist helps a lot:
