Hemp and Women’s Safety in the Wilmington Area

I’ve seen one or two posts about this in recent months but all seem to be deleted now. As someone who’s been active in the Hemp community in the area for a few years I want to say that we have an awesome one here in Wilmy. Sometimes however, we have to police ourselves. This is one of those times…

You’ve all heard “rumors” I’m sure, yes I’m talking about Annac Nevah. Yes we all know the owner is a creep, but has anyone explained why? How do we know these aren’t just rumors?

Here are the allegations he ran from out of Connecticut pertaining to his dispensary location there.

The allegations against Brayan Valencia of QoverQ Cannabis/ Local Market Lounge of Wallingford are as follows

Victim 1 stated repeatedly and in good faith she responded to an ad for a job in the cannabis industry. She began working for Valencia and briefly dated him. Upon informing him she did not wish to continue the relationship he lured her out of her car and into Local Market Lounge. Upon entering the shop Victim 1 alleges BV grabbed her by the throat and strangled her then went on to violently rape her, after which he informed her the joke was on her and he had a girlfriend.

Victim 2 Reported repeatedly and in good faith she had entered the Local Market Lounge to drop off items for consignment. Upon entering the shop Valencia's employee left immediately. Valencia then began to embrace her and attempt to kiss her on the mouth, rub his erection on her, and state they were meant to have sex. Victim 2 was able to exit the space feeling she had been unsafe and at risk of sexual assault.

Victim 3 Reported repeatedly and in good faith she had been working at shows at Local Market Lounge with her male partner. Upon male partner stepping away she reports Valencia came up behind her and embraced her, rubbing his erection on her body leading to her no longer do events at LML.

Victim 4 Reported repeatedly and in good faith she had been helping Valencia get LML up and running, she treated him like "a grandson". On more than one occasion Valencia made her uncomfortable with his physical proximity which she stated to him. He responded by saying he loved her like family then went on to embrace her and rub his erection on her leading to her exiting LML never to return.

In addition to these statements there are others from women in the community who have also experienced sexual harassment via text or in person from Valencia.

In addition, Valencia frequently posts "Career opportunities in cannabis" that have been documented as a scam. Applicants are given "training" but never paid for their time.

Valencia has now brought his antics and behavior to Wilmington. In the past year I have personally met at least a Dozen young women under the age of 22 who have either been hired by or interacted with him and had a disturbing experience. I now have seen confirmation that Valencia has been stalking and reportedly drugged a woman here in Wilmington leading to an overdose and hospitalization.

If you or someone you know has been hurt, touched in appropriately or made uncomfortable by this man please report it. We cannot allow this in our community.
