Killer/Criminal pretends to be a jehova witness and gets busted by mentioning the cross.

Im trying to remember a movie where one scene while he is on the run he sees a relgious sign in a yard. He knocks and an old lady answers. He pretends to be religious and gets invited in or almost invited in. He gets caught jm the lie because he mentioned wearing a cross or having a cross.

I believe this was just a small part of the movie towards the end. I think it started with a dinner and interview or something with the killer.
