Should I accept this eBay laptop offer or hold out?
First-time seller here and looking for advice.
I’m selling my 2-year-old laptop on eBay. Bought it for around £1400, asking £700 since I don’t need it anymore (built my own PC). The condition: battery is somewhat degraded, and there are a few dents on the chassis.
In the first 24 hours, I got around 90 views and 8 watchers. I sent out offers at £640 to those who added it to favorites since I want to move it quickly.
One buyer countered at £450 citing the wear and tear. I declined and said £600, pretending I wasn’t in a rush. Now they’ve come back with £575.
I’ve had other offers, but they were all lower. With the listing getting some traction, I’m wondering if I should accept the £575 or wait it out in case someone bites closer to my original £700.
What do you all think? Take the £575 and be done with it, or hold out for a better offer? It's only been three days since I listed it.
