GPA 1% Below Dream Job Requirement (with very competitive amount of experience)
Hey guys,
So yeah 1% under the requirement. On top of this I am probably going to present with double the work experience that most undergrads would, as I have worked year round at a blue-chip engineering company thru school since my sophomore year.
Big question: Applications have a cumulative GPA box. I am debating putting my university specific GPA in that box instead of my overall cumulative GPA, so that I am not auto-screened out by ATS over this 1% discrepancy.
Now I get this is kind of dishonest. However, my GPA will meet the requirement 1.5 weeks after the application deadline (online course).
If I did this, I would submit my unofficial transcript as well as how my GPA is projected to climb above the requirement right after the deadline.
Again, I'm just putting my University GPA (the higher of the two which already is above the requirement) into the cumulative GPA box to avoid screen out.
Anyone been in a similar spot before, or feel that this is wrong and should just be honest despite the chance of being auto declined? I am probably going to get a referral to this role as well.
