Home Wondering

I am a 55 yo guy and I'm embarrassed to admit this but Whenever I meet someone I like, in the beginning, when you're trying to not seem too needy...I am always convinced that she is off having a wonderful time and not at all concerned about me or what I'm doing. Meanwhile I'm home wondering what she's up to...is she out on a date ? Is she not sitting by the phone waiting for a call or text from me ? It's pathetic and it has happened time and time again.
