Handle on Instant Pot Duo 8 Qt gets VERY hot! Help?

Hi everyone,

I just bought a used Instant Pot Duo V2 off of Facebook marketplace. I cleaned and inspected the machine (visually there nothing is wrong with it) and today, I used it for the first time to make some soup! I used the standard 'Soup' setting at 30 min/high pressure.

After the IP finished cooking, I did a quick pressure release but when I went to remove the handle, it was so hot to touch I actually had to use an oven mitt.

I have used/owned 2 other 6 quart instant pots for the last 5 years now and have never run into this issue before. Is this something standard with the 8 quart IPs or did I just get unlucky and there's something wrong with this machine?
