Got denied a covid vaccine at a Walgreens today.

Just an FYI for any of you wanting to get a vaccine at Walgreens, their pharmacists might not let you. Had an appointment for a Covid vaccine at the Walgreens on Larpenteur in St Paul, MN earlier today and when I checked in for my appointment I was told I needed to step aside to speak to the pharmacist. He said I couldn’t get a vaccine because I wasn’t 65 and didn’t have a “qualifying condition”. I told him (embarrassingly in front of a line of people) how I do have a qualifying condition and he said it didn’t matter because I don’t fill a prescription for that condition with Walgreens. I pushed back because I DO fill a prescription for that condition with Walgreens and he looked it up and said that didn’t count because my physician had “called-in” that prescription. To be honest, at that point I think he was just making stuff up because he didn’t want to give it to me.

Anyway, went up to the CVS in Target a few blocks away and got a vaccine without any questions asked and didn’t even have an appointment! That’s where my pharmacy business is going from now on.
