Overtraining Help

Need Advice ⁉️

Hi everyone—thanks for all the good tips I get from here!

After a long hiatus from working out, I got back into it a couple of months ago. Slowly but surely, I’ve gotten back into the swing of gym 3-4 days a week to lift heavy, plus 1-2 moderate intensity hikes a week, and at least 10,000 steps each day. I’m trying to cut while maintaining muscle, and as a short person I’m hitting about 1400 cals/day on a whole foods diet. Fat loss has been steady but consistent, and I have no complaints in that respect.

I am now in the zone, as it were, meaning I am looking forward to my workouts every day and I feel fantastic afterwards. Here’s the thing: I think I’m overtraining because if I go too hard four days in a row, the afternoon of that fourth day, I am wiped out. I’m not a napper but after today’s hike, I showered and slept for an hour.

Any advice on how to avoid this while still being consistent? I’ve been taking one rest day a week which has helped but this week I am drained. Any tips on diet, training schedule, supplements (I take D, B complex, fish oil, and magnesium daily), are welcome.

Thank you so much!
