What would happen in a school shooting

Im writing a horror book about a psychopathic teen that one day does a school shooting, in law, what would happen if the person were still in his teens, killed more than a double homicide. And yes he has a gun. Also will the consequence will be lower if he is a convicted mentally ill teen? Its happening in canada under the quebec law if that helps
