Just wanted to share this as I received a very generic, unhelpful response from Epic this morning, which you'll see in the last image here.

A few months ago in May I had quickly refunded V Bucks via the Xbox store, and they were not removed from my Fortnite account. Because I did not want to run into this exact problem that people are experiencing this week, where V Bucks and content are later removed, I contacted Epic to fix the issue. This sent me on a back -and-forth of emails with both Microsoft and Epic for about 2 months, before the issue was finally resolved. Ultimately, they removed the refunded V Bucks in July.

Unfortunately, I then log on Fortnite this week and see 5000 V Bucks removed from my account, again. I was surprised to see this given just how much effort I made to avoid this very problem from happening.

I reached out to Epic to explain, and received the message you see at the end here. I am going to continue to follow up with them of course, to make sure I get the V Bucks back.

My point in posting this is to show that not all of us are lying about abusing the refund system or using sketchy third party sites for V Bucks. I don't want the people who deserve refunds to get swept under the rug, lost amongst the (probably many) people who did engage in some sort of fraud.

The screenshot here are about half of the communication I had with them since May, just had to keep it under the image limit but I think you all get the point.

Epic, if you see this, please help me out here!!

Epic is, in fact, removing V-Bucks from some innocent customers - not everyone is lying. I'm one of those customers, and here's my proof.
