Parking tips for Hot Wheels Monster Trucks at T-Mobile Center (Kansas City 10/11/25)
hey everyone, saw Hot Wheels Monster Trucks is coming to the t-mobile center in october and figured i'd share some parking advice for anyone going. downtown kc can be a real headache for big events if you dont have a plan.
honestly the best thing i've found is a website called prked. people who live right by the t-mobile center rent out their driveways and private garages. it's usually way cheaper than the huge event garages and you're just a block or two away. you get a guaranteed spot and you don't have to fight thousands of cars trying to get out of the same garage exit after the show. it's a super short walk and you can just skip all that traffic chaos.
if you want to go the traditional route, you can try to get a spot in the official T-Mobile Center Magenta Lot. you have to buy those passes way in advance on the venue's website and they sell out fast. there are also a ton of other big garages right around there in the power & light district, like the KC Live Garage and the Arts District garage. they are close and convenient but just be prepared for a long wait to get out when the show is over.
a good local tip is to check out the town pavilion garage over at 13th and wyandotte. it's a few blocks walk but the garage is huge so it rarely fills up, and sometimes it's a cheap flat rate in the evening. it has a bunch of exits so it's often less stressful to leave from there.
for most events grand blvd right in front of the arena is closed off to traffic, so you can't drive right up to the front. if you're getting dropped off by a friend or a rideshare, they have to use oak street. another move is to park further away for free along the streetcar line and just ride it in. it drops you off pretty close and you totally avoid the event traffic bubble.
no matter what you do, get there early. an hour before the show starts the whole area is packed.
hope this helps you guys out. enjoy the monster trucks
