Hey everyone, wanting to get an OLED monitor for some light gaming but mainly for work, is this a bad idea?
I’ve just heard the picture quality is amazing on OLED, and I’d like to get one but most of my usage would be for work. I spend about 7-9 hrs a day for work, everything is night mode usually and I don’t mind making the changes to not have static elements in the task bar, the pixel cycling maintenance stuff but I’m wondering, will that be enough? Or can I expect to have pixel burn in eventually, say, 3 years? Hoping to get some input from someone who mainly does that as well
If it’s not a bad idea, wondering if anyone can recommend some monitors (price doesn’t matter), but here’s a couple of stats I would like:
- 32” would be ideal but I can live with something smaller, no less than 28” though
- as high resolution as possible
- at least 240hz refresh rate
- built in KVM, I’d like to just plug in via usb c my laptop and all audio be sent to monitor and control my laptop via a plugged keyboard and mouse to monitor. I don’t know if this is possible but, I will be gaming on my ps5 and it’d be great to not have to change any connections and have it just work with my ps5 as well
