Please help me find a movie that’s been stuck in my mind for years.

I’m trying to find a movie I watched as a kid (probably in the early 2010s). I only faintly remember a few scenes, so I’ll do my best to describe them.

At the beginning, two kids and their father run away from their mother by getting into a truck, and I think the mother was holding an axe. Later, when the kids grow up, the younger brother has some kind of supernatural powers.

In one scene, he tells his older brother and his brother’s girlfriend that he already knows what they did before he even arrived. In another scene, he’s in a hospital bed where a woman gives him a book. He flips through it quickly and says he has read the whole thing, and when she asks him questions from random pages, he can answer correctly or even finish her sentences.

Lastly, I remember a scene where he sees some kind of monstrous, humanoid, devil-like creatures. In one part, he opens a door to a house and sees two of these creatures in the kitchen.

I’m not completely sure, but I think the movie was in the horror/thriller genre.
