BRZ in the Snow?

As the second car in our family, I wanted to get a new BRZ (is there already 2026 version btw?)

Heard advises not to get this car if you are living in an area of 'hard' winters with snow for a few months, is that true? Only driving ~25km per day, 5 days a week..
