Sofa cushions that have velcro on the bottom

I'm in the market for a reasonably priced sofa and it's astonishing how many have cushions with velcro on the bottom. This is mildly infuriating because it keeps you from easily flipping it to even-out wear (or hide a stain). Cushions dont fly off the sofa, so the inclusion of velcro on the bottom is completely unnecessary. I fell for this trap about five years ago when I bought a new sofa, got it delivered, and later discovered it had velcro. Now im flipping cushions left and right before I drop money.

Pillow top mattresses can sick a duck too for the same reason.
