Are there laundry machines that do the load based on weight?

I was just thinking about smart appliances and I was wondering if there was a washing machine that automatically set the load based on the weight of clothing in the drum? Is that a thing?

I’m not sure if that would actually be helpful because different loads may require different amounts of water based on the material perhaps…

Anyway just a thought
