With the air sweeping in through the still opening train doors, my breath stops in my throat. The construction of the city was planned from the first street, meant to demonstrate the wealth of the worlds scientific, social and artistic skills and knowledge. And so my first steps onto the platform lead me right onto a ledge that granted me a view across the cities skyline. Despite having worked for it since I can remember, I never imagined myself actually enter an entire city building around the university.

Following the directions I had been sent, I quickly make it to my dorm, admiring the beauty and technology that made every corner a marvel. I settle in quickly, reconfirming my identity, as even entering the city required age verification. After a single day of running errands, I had everything I needed. Lying in bed, I am amazed at how efficient everything here works and am excited to start my own studies and project in the morning.

However, as I am sitting in my kitchen, eating my breakfast, a message pops up on all screens around me. „The 24 hours of purge have begun.“
