Need Topic Ideas for Radiation Biology & Protection Project

Senior year X-ray student. We have a project coming up (paper + presentation) for the "Radiation Biology & Protection" class and I'm looking for some ideas regarding a topic to discuss. The said topic has to be either about Radiation's effects on biology, or radiation protection (or both), and should be a topic actively discussed/debated in modern discourse. I am required to find 2 peer-reviewed articles and other sources for it, which I shouldn't have a problem with. Just looking for interesting topics that have research supporting them. Thanks!
