How do you cover the procurement gaps in your ERP?
In our case, the ERP implementation was supposed to solve all processes. In practice, procurement remained complicated. Standard orders were fine, but when it came to sourcing, RFx, bid comparisons, or contract tracking, we were back to scattered emails, attachments in different formats, and parallel Excel files.
After a few months, we decided to look for a dedicated procurement solution. The only S2C platform that really fit our needs was Scanmarket from Unit4. We didn't switch everything at once but gradually: first RFx and auctions, then the contract repository. In the end, the validated data was pushed back into the ERP for consistency.
The result was clear: suppliers were managed in one place, statuses were transparent, and the time spent on manual comparisons dropped significantly. It wasn’t a perfect or fast process, but it ultimately brought more structure and visibility into procurement.
