Scared I’m making the wrong decision.
Hi everyone :(
I have an 18 1/2 year old pug. I love him so very much, he has been with me basically my entire life.
About three weeks ago I noticed he has swollen lymph nodes on both sides of his neck- I took him to the vet and after some testing, he was diagnosed with lymphoma. The vet said he may have a month of less left. I declined treatment due to his age.
He still eats, drinks water, walks pretty well, sleeps through the night, doesn’t cry/whine and is welcoming of affection. He still appears to be a happy boy especially around myself and family.
I know he doesn’t have much longer left. The vet said to start thinking of euthanasia, which I am planning to schedule in-home for this coming Saturday….but when I still see him living relatively comfortably/normally, I want to back out and see if he can last a little more.
Please, if anyone has had a similar experience, please comment. I need to know if my thought process is correct- I don’t want to see my boy suffer
