[M4F] In a world where a subgroup of naturally domineering men are repressed, an activist woman and her husband have a secret, dark dynamic with their forbidden friend

In this dystopian world, men are genetically divided between two subgroups: betas and Alphas. The betas tend to be more civil, docile and unthreatening, but each generation grows weaker both physically and in willpower, with their strength and virility fading. The Alphas, by contrast, are mighty, magnetic, and are considered unruly and aggressive, so dangerous that society forces them to wear suppression collars in public that dampen their powers. 

Those abilities include a hypnotic level of persuasion, untold physical strength, a dominance so potent that others struggle to resist and a natural ability to push woman into a state something like being in heat in their uncollared presence. Even many betas become like puddles under their glare. Women have evolved so that their bodies choose them, even if they have free will of the mind, yet society has made its own ruling on such choices. All the while, the powers that be are aware that their neighboring nation, one where Alphas rule openly, is growing more powerful, with war likely in a generation…Secretly, the blood of those they’ve subjugated may be their last hope.

Officially, Alphas are reviled by many, yet they remain a constant source of not just fear, but also fascination. For years, erotic material was repressed altogether, after the results of the previous Alpha uprising. But when it suddenly returned, it came only in the form of fantasies focused on Alphas in all ways but in name—dark strangers and dominant, assertive, forbidden and irresistible lovers clearly modeled on Alphas, but everyone denies that truth staring them in the face. Society insists they are harmless fiction, yet everyone feels the pull. Betas and women are gaslit, tugged between what is forbidden, and what is at the same time encouraged. What many women crave, and with betas facing a glorified role that's everything they're not, and perhaps a touch of what they crave as well, so many are left memorized and confused by this content. The intentions would be obvious to many if they knew the truth. From the government’s perspective, Alphas must remain both controlled and desired, led to start procreating more, soon to be increasingly normalized, but with everyone always under their thumb.

Complicating matters is the growing Alpha supremacy movement, so widespread and dangerous, with so many of them wanting a return to their “rightful” place as rulers over society. It only adds fuel to the fire of the government's stance. Most do believe that they need to be controlled.

Amid this tension, a married couple, a beta and a woman, have risen to the top of an activist movement. They fight to dismantle hierarchy altogether, both total beta and female dominance over the collared Alphas by the government, and also the threat of Alpha supremacy. They dream of true equality. At first, they still defend the collars as necessary safeguards over those who resist they call for, just as they oppose the opposing status quo enforced by the government. But their ideals grow complicated by the person closest to them: their dearest friend, one of the Alphas who has chosen to stand with their cause. The bond between the three runs deep, rooted in trust, affection, and a love both spoken and unspoken on all sides. And also on all sides, there is a natural, erotic tension across the group dynamic.

The collar has become a growing symbol of such tensions in society, and that becomes true for them as well, in private and in public. At a rally, perhaps a woman starts to tease the structure of one of those collars openly, brushing her fingers along the lock in what looks like nothing more than a statement on not fearing him. To her, it feels like rebellion and…maybe a touch of secret intimacy. But to others, it's unsettling, as even touching that collar evokes fear, and for many, the temptation of what lies underneath.

It's only a matter of time before the truth finally breaks through completely in private, with the couple and their Alpha companion. When the collar finally comes off one day, their dynamic and ideals eventually collapse so deliciously into one of the very hierarchies they fight against: Alpha > Woman > beta. Unbound, primal, with such dark, angsty, exhilarating truths bursting to the surface with pain and pleasure. Meanwhile, the collar may have no physical effect on a woman or a beta, but they begin to experiment with placing it on each of them. The powerful symbolism of forbidden desire, service, submission, love, and power.

By day, they are activists for equality. By night, they soon live out the fears of those who oppose it. What will become of the activist movement they lead and the Alpha supremacists. Are are these three playing right into the government’s hands in their secrecy, or with this dynamic growing into something more raw and intense than anything their rulers could have intended, will they help make the attempts of the establishment to maintain control go up in flames?

I would like to play this out together in third person, although I am flexible on that. I'll be handling the male characters, while we can handle sharing the labor of any additional characters that pop up as we go. Alternatively, I am happy to handle writing most of the world and characters around you, while you just focus on the one primary, female character. (I do really love when I find someone I can get nerdy with on the world building together though… it's half the fun.)

Additionally, I am flexible with the details in how we set this up as well. The couple could be government leaders, politicians, or any other ideas you may have. I had plenty of other possible ideas for how this could play out in the long run, but obviously I want this to be a collaborative experience!
