I don’t like the idea of arranged marriage
Because it’s always searching for the “perfect” person. I wanna be with someone to start from zero and to grow, but in an arranged marriage I won’t even get approached if I don’t make an XYZ amount.
I wanna feel like I’m not loved based on only because what I give, conditionally. But in an arranged system we are looking for the person who has the best looks and wealth. How can I know if the person I met through wouldve ever chosen me if I wasn’t making enough money or what I give. It just feels so transactional and conditional to me.
For a woman it might be worse, if she is born below societal beauty standards, she will never get approached. Because why would someone approach a stranger when there might be better strangers. Basically cooked.
I just want to meet someone randomly, or as friends when we don’t have anything in our names, but only connect by thoughts and personality, and grow together. And this system just cuts off the love story.
