I think our current understanding leaves plenty of room for the existence of an afterlife.

Debate (remember - be nice)

String Theory predicts that the universe may exist in 10 spatial dimensions, yet our reality is limited to only 3. Modified Big Bang Theory predicts that 95% of the universe consists of dark energy and dark matter, both are invisible and undetectable to science, yet both are essential in explaining observations of the universe.  Stephen Hawking and Lawrence Krauss theorized that the universe may have been created from nothing. Einstein said that a "spirit vastly superior to that of man" is manifest in the laws of the universe. There is so much that may never be known or understood. Why is even the possibility of an afterlife rejected outright by some many people? Is there any actual evidence that there is no afterlife?
