Should i get the 5080 ?

Bear with me, I am a stupid person in a lot of things including this so basically i bought my current gpu a 3080 from palit used. Currently it has a few issues including overheating and me needing to open it up and replace the thermal paste of the hotspot roughly every three months( I am unsure if i should so this or not tbh). I am thinking of upgrading to stop some limits i have in my pc and to be able to run all games without a hindrance. Specs •3080 •Ryzen 7 7800x3d •32gb ddr5 ram •850w psu •b650 gaming wifi mobo from msi Other context I bought the gpu 2 years ago from this shop that scammed me 4 times i think. The cpu, mobo and ram I bought this year to future proof and to remove any bottlenecks i had before. My case does fit the gpu km just unsure if i should go through with it and buy it or not.
