Does Shield Wall scale with passives that increase defences from equipped shield?

Question is in the title. For example - there is a passive that increases defences from equipped shield by 50% (Towering shield). Shield wall scales with armour from equipped shield. Does that armour just get added as a defence to the character - or will it also scale the damage of the Shield Wall skill?
