Just looking for someone that may relate

Hi, I guess I’m just venting and looking for a community, if that’s okay. I live in a part of town that isn’t very accessible, so I rely heavily on my family and DoorDash to get the things I need. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to live anywhere else right now because I’m on a limited income of less than $1,000 per month.

I just need someone to listen, as I feel bad about this situation. I try to tip when I can, but it’s never a large amount since most of my money goes to bills and basic living expenses. What I’m really looking for is a sense of community.

I struggle with feeling guilty about not being able to tip much. That’s why I usually wait until I can go out in public to get what I need. However, there are times when I have to order items—whether from a grocery store or for a quick bite to eat—because I don’t have anything in the house and no one to take me anywhere.

With the rising costs, ordering food or groceries can get really expensive. I don’t do it often anymore because I am fortunate enough to live a family, but when I have to, I always try to tip the driver. Unfortunately, there are times when I can’t tip at all, and when I do, it’s usually a very small amount, which makes me feel guilty.

I’m curious if anyone else here feels the same way while on a fixed income. If you do, how do you deal with that guilt?t
