Indecisive - Need Advice (MBP or Air)

Hey all!! Unfortunately my 2018 MacBook Pro is on its last legs of life. I need to get another - but struggling to decide.

When I got the MBP in 2018, I was using it for college. Albeit, i should have gotten a windows as I had to partition my hard drive to work in the Autodesk suite, but I love the Apple ecosystem.

At this point, will NOT be partitioning my hard drive again. Really using it for mundane day to day tasks, watching shows, and playing the Sims a bit (I do have a fair amount of expansion packs if that makes a difference). I used to do some video editing, and would love to get back into it, but I don’t see that on the immediate horizon. Similarly, could get interested in doing some sketch up modeling, but again not currently doing it.

Everytime I go in to the store to ask for advice, they generally tell me to go for the Air with 24GBs of unified storage for what I’m currently doing (mundane tasks, streaming, and sims).

Would you guys go for Air, at MBP? And for whichever one, how much unified storage? I know people say to not “buy for the future”, but considering this is a big purchase and I want it to last, I’m swaying towards Pro to accommodate for the future.
