Am I too sensitive or was it actually a bad joke?

I know there no bad joke just a bad audience but I'm wondering if this was even a joke. My bfs friend C found out their friend (Z) is having baby girl and C commented "let me know when she's born and I'll set an 18 year timer." As an SA survivor I didn't think it was funny, but IDK if I'm being to sensitive. What would you do if your friend said that about your unborn daughter?
