Israeli Minister Ron Dermer is expected to meet with the Syrian Foreign Minister this week. Dermer has met several times in the past with Assad al-Shaybanou, to lay the groundwork for a security agreement between Israel and Syria. The person pushing for the meeting is American envoy Tom Brack.
