My Mom’s Doing an Explicit Movie Scene and I’m Struggling How Do I Handle This?

I’m in a weird spot and could use some advice. I’m a teenager, and my mom (46) is an actress who’s been in 5 movies over the past few years. She’s always kept things pretty tame, no sex or nude scenes, which I’ve been cool with. But a few days ago, she got offered a new role where she plays a mom to three teens and a wife, and the script has a really intense scene that’s got me messed up.

The scenes are explicit, full nudity, a long kissing scene, they said it’s “skin-to-skin” which makes it feel way too real. I know movies fake this stuff with camera tricks and intimacy coordinators, but just the idea of my mom doing this and it being out there for everyone to see is freaking me out. I’m worried about my friends at school seeing it and teasing me, or just how I’ll deal with knowing it’s out there

My dad’s totally okay with it. I don’t get how he’s fine with his wife being in a scene like that with another guy, even if it’s acting. I’m guessing he sees it as just her job and trusts her, but it’s hard for me to wrap my head around. My mom seems cool with it too, maybe ‘cause it’s a big role for her career,

I really want to tell her I’m not okay with this and maybe ask her to pass on the scene but I don’t want to mess with her career or make things awkward. I’m also confused about how to deal with I’m stressing about how to handle friends or people at school if this movie comes out and they start talking about it.

Has anyone been through something like this with a parent in acting or a similar job? How do I talk to my mom about this ? And how do I deal with the idea of people seeing this scene? Any advice on how to cope or what to say would mean a lot. Thanks,
