This is about **movie stardom** not acting talent, not awards, not critical acclaim.

* **S-Tier:** Actors who could sell any movie, in any genre, with any cast, and still make massive money. Didn’t matter if the film was good or bad their name alone was the guarantee. On top of that, they had longevity, box-office records, consecutive hits and insane peaks of dominance.
* **A-Tier:** Huge stars with long runs and proven box-office pull, but not quite as unstoppable across all genres. Their films weren’t guaranteed money makers unless they were in the right genre or the movie connected with audiences.
* **B-Tier:** Stars with shorter peaks or box-office tied heavily to certain franchises/eras. They had runs, but not all-round dominance.
* **C-Tier:** Recognizable names with hits, but inconsistent or limited in drawing power.

For me, *Tom Cruise* and *Will Smith* are the only two that deserve to sit in that S-tier of their own, because their peaks were on another level compared to everyone else. They weren’t just stars in certain genres or eras they could headline *anything*, and audiences worldwide showed up regardless of reviews, co-stars, or franchise. Their names alone guaranteed massive box office, and that level of dominance and longevity puts them in a category above the rest. Even the franchises were sold on their name.

I know there have been many movie stars I missed and I couldn’t accommodate everyone, but this list is just my take on the biggest Hollywood draws of the last 40 years. Curious to hear who others would move up, down, or add.
