[Question] Interest in mundane simulator games?

🪁Fun/Creative

I've been into some simulator games lately that seem a bit overly mundane and yet I find them enjoyable and satisfying to play like Lawn Mowing Simulator, PowerWash Simulator, etc. and I have a bit of a guilty feeling that I'm playing these types of games and it makes me want to ask the community if this kind of thing for playing mundane simulators is typical for others on the spectrum.

I have a few pet theories as to why I seem to enjoy them.

1: I have a fascination for vehicles, machinery, and appliances and in my household I'm usually the one to try out the new appliance we get like a new push mower. My dad even jokes that if we ever get a ride-on lawnmower then I'd always be the one to mow the lawn. Probably stems from playing with Tonka toys growing up and a grandfather who once had a John Deere 5400.

2: Simulator games provide a way for me to experience these types of things that I may never have the chance to do full time like driving semi trucks, locomotives, farm equipment, etc.

3: I've not been one for overly competitive games so being able to play something alone or co-operatively without all that pressure behind you lets me relax and enjoy the game a little more.
