Powder Detergent in Bosch 500 Washer?

Can you use powder detergent in the Bosch 500 Washer? I just ordered one, cannot wait to get it installed. I use Nellie’s Laundry Soda (powder detergent) but I don’t know if you can use it in a Bosch washer, and if you can then where do you put it? Directly in the drum or in the detergent tray?’

Seems like a silly question but I tried lots of Googling and for some reason can’t find an answer. Thank you for the help!
