How are your older family/friends coping with current technology?

This was prompted by a comment recently about someone’s parents and their inability to cope with current technology. How are your older family/friends coping? Are they able to use it without too much help? Or are they still sending checks through the mail after a check being washed and losing money? I’m sure many are in the middle ground.
