Legality in Spain

I’m in Spain for the next 10 days. Thought I would see more clubs/shops based on what I had heard about the hash culture around here but I haven’t seen anything at all whatsoever. So what exactly is the deal? Is it legal or not? Can I walk into a store or no?

I am 100% not trying to source anything illegally. Under no circumstances stances do I wish to end up with international charges but I sure would like to get some sleep lol.
