How does Linux handle RAM usage different than Windows?
I hear windows uses RAM more like faster cache for apps you open but Linux does not use that.
Also windows seem to load more services into RAM has cache where Linux does not seem to do that.
Windows seem to be more scalable RAM where by if you have 8GB RAM than 4 GB will be used on start up but if you have 4 GB of RM than 2 GB of RAM will be used on start up. Windows always tries use half RAM you give it
I believe the reason for scalable RAM is loading services and apps into RAM for faster cache than loading it from HDD or SSD.
Linux does not seem to do that.
