Idk who needs to hear this, but if you have to say "No low balls!" in your ad chances are your prices are a pipe dream bro.

Looking for a new bike, so I've been thinking and going through local marketplace.

I sold my bike recently for the price that I bought it for literally 48 hours after posting it. It's not even a sought after hot seller- but I understood the market.

If I'm flipping an instrument or tool, I know that I got my use out of it so my mindset is not to accrue profit. It's to at least not take a loss and use the funds for the next thing.

I know in my mind how much I'm willing to take so obvious low balls easily get ignored. Anyone in the ballpark I will entertain. If you won't pay- that's fine, someone will- because it's a fair price.

The free market is great in theory ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ. You have the right to price whatever you want how you want- and because you're in an open forum, if you behave like a dick people will treat you like a dick ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฟโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

When you enter the marketplace, you have to understand your price is not the price. The price is what it will sell for.

I never understand people yelling at people in ads and the post has been up for months. Everyone isn't the problem here bro it's you- you're the common denominator ๐Ÿ˜‚.

So many people want a good deal as a consumer, but then when it's their turn to sell suddenly they all have meticulously cared for, 2 owner vehicles with all highway mileage? I mean we all hated getting price gouged in the pandemic- we all hate getting price gouged in groceries, insurance, concert tickets etc.

But give the average person the opportunity to make money and what is their first instinct?

Biggest tip I can tell buyers, never stop low balling. It keeps the market stable. People don't wanna get negotiate? Dealership is that way โžก๏ธ- they'll get you squared away in 20 minutes.

Rant over
