CIE vs Edexcel

So i am an Year 12 (AS level) student and i have been debating constantly about whether to take pre eng (phy chem math) or pre med (phy/math, chem bio). I couldnt decide so and the school year started so i decided to tafke 4 subjects. however now i have realized that it is not really possible to cope with all of the 4 subjects.

The best option i could think of rn is taking pre eng subjects rn, then before uni if i decide medical is better, i take a gap year, take both AS and A2 bio together as a prwt candidate and then apply to unis.

The issue isbiology CIE requires practical in AS, and I heard edexcel doesn't, is this true? also any advice on what i should do in this situation would be highly appreciated.
