Creating the Perfect Experience for my Dad.

Hey everyone,

You may be wondering why a Jaguars fan is on the Steelers reddit. It's not to bring up the 2007 season, the 2017 season, or the winning record at Heinz Field. I am here to ask for help with giving my dad the perfect first Steelers game.

My brother and I recently learned my dad, a life long fan now in his late 50s, has never actually been to a Steelers game. This year we are set on changing that. I am looking for any and all recommendations from where to stay, where to visit before the game, tailgate, anything that makes for the best experience.

Right now the plan is to go to the SNF game against the Packers. I am aware of the crazy high price of tickets, but my dad is a 25 year military veteran with several tours over seas. He is a truly amazing man and father so if we are going to do this we want the best game environment possible regardless of cost. If anyone thinks another game is better feel free to recommend it.
