Seattle office. Same day oath ceremony.

This took about 3 months longer than my friend here who applied back in November.

Got asked questions on age of selective service, why the colonists fought with the British, first president, who signs bills to law, who vetoes bills and one other I can't remember. I misunderstood her question on the colonists one and she asked me if that was my final answer. I corrected myself and she smiled and moved on.

She had some questions around my wife and I's specifics that were atypical, but I answered with detail and honesty. She asked for recent tax returns ( didn't have them, offered to pull them up on my phone, she said that wasn't necessary), and our lease (which I did pull up on my phone and she verified). I'm really glad she allowed me to show stuff on my phone. But don't count on that happening to you. She said that that was up to the officer's discretion.

At the citations question, I told her it was probably about 4 speeding tickets over 12 years and she asked when the last one was and where. I gave her my best guess and told her it was to the best of my recollection.

She also corrected my address in the system since I had moved since April, but the ar 11 had not updated anything except the mailing address.

She said she was going to approve me and said she found my situation 'credible'. Probably used that coz of the atypical situation I'll keep to myself.

Oath ceremony was pretty soon thereafter. They took my green card there.

I've already got an appointment with the DDS to get an edl, which is a real ID and will also act as proof of citizenship apparently. Will set up passport appointment soon too. Until I get that or the EDL, I still plan to use my former country passport to fly domestically as I don't have to relinquish that until after I get my US passport. (Washington doesn't have a real ID that isn't the EDL, I found).

Sharing back to the community that gave me so many hopeful stories amidst the uncertainty and delays of the administration's actions
