I have had to leave my job because they are not accommodating my chronic illness (I'm on occupational health) Can I claim monetary compensation?

Hey guys,

A big corporation bought out a big veterinary practice I work in a few years ago.

I have worked for them for almost 6 years and I am based in England.

Since they have taken over, they have ruthlessly cut budgets on everything you could imagine even going so far as to not buying pens for us anymore (yeah seriously)

I have been on occupational health due to inner ear problems (problems started 4 years ago but started occupational health about two years ago) and they were suppose to support me. Instead I have had to do many 10 hour shifts on my own when we use to have a team of about 5 or 6 people working throughout the day. They also admit as many animals as possible making my workload impossible. I now don't get a break until 5 hours in my shift and we agreed I need to take regular breaks due to my condition.

This has resulted in my physical and mental health rapidly depleting to the point where I am no longer able to physically work there so I am handing my notice in.

Can I claim compensation and if so how do I go about doing it? I have researched about "constructive dismissal", is this the right way to go?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. This has caused me immense amounts of stress about my future etc and I am have trouble thinking straight on the matter.

Thanks in advance.
