SWE career change advice. What is the best path forward?

Hello guys, I am a SWE working on 4X certified AWS/DevOps and Python development for 10 years. I have always been introverted and found comfort as a individual contributor. I would like to explore new avenues and target a new technology. I am thinking to focus on AGI as my next career technology as I feel I am too late to start on AI and also grow towards lead/ technical manager. I have an 8 month time to prep and be ready for my change due visa restrictions. I have never had a sophisticated career advice. It has always been just apply job and take what I get kind of a scenario. I would like to explore if there is an ideal framework to follow on how to grow my career across next 4 years and use potential catalysts that can boost me further. Never worked with a mentor or career guidance expert so my research starts here.
