Questions about the potential capacity of dinosaurs, pterosaurs and prehistoric marine reptiles spectrum of emotions.
I always assumed that, because these categories of prehistoric animals are reptiles, they might not be able to form emotional bonds like mammals do. But then I realized, given their size, their brain might have different ways to process emotion than modern reptiles. There are some fossils that suggest some might have lived in groups and taken care of their babies, but I'm not sure if that's definitive proof for anything.
So, could prehistoric animals feel any sort of emotion, or were they more likely to just be able to form trust and find comfort in other individuals, like modern reptiles?
