Why does Console release later than PC?

!Unrelated, but this sub is.. interesting looking. I don't know if I'd post here again; there are just too many tags, fonts, bold, italics, and emojis, it's really distracting. !<

I don't want to rant, but I will. I have no idea if there are real reasons behind it, or if they want to just make the release times look official. I've never been this hyped for a game release. I usually play games a few months after they come out, but it's so annoying seeing all these mini spoilers and people hyping the game up on PC, and I still have 12+ hours to play it. I also love replying to people with issue fixes/tips and tricks since I've been playing Borderlands since the first game.
