Borderlands 4 “your settings have failed to save”

I just downloaded borderlands 4 and attempted to play. I cant even get to the main menu. I keep getting an error saying “your settings have failed to save” I gave it an exception for the windows antivirus, switched it to my main drive, tried running it as admin, and reinstalled. Nothing is working. Anyone else having this issue?
