The stereotype of catty women

I currently work in a woman dominated industry.

Overall, we are 60% women. And in my particular department we are 85% women.

I’ve always heard this stereotype that it’s hard if a group is women only. Or that women can be catty or backstabbing, etc..

But that’s not been my experience at all.

We work together very well. Very task oriented. We have no problems delegating, and accepting responsibilities.

Maybe in our mothers’ generation, women had to fight hard in the workplace, and therefore ended up very competitive. But I believe that is no longer the case.
